Chicken Paprikash
So today was busy day, school, bible study and errands..not much in a mood to cook.So i thought,i am going to make ‘yet another’ chicken dish, let me see how the world is cooking the chicken today?
As a result,i made a stop at Hungary to get a taste of chicken Paprikash. My decision was totally based on utter simplicity of the dish.It was super super hit dish. Both of my kids had couple of serving of it.I was serving it with pasta,so that helps the cause too.All in all,we loved it and i think you will too :-)Give it a try on the night, you are tired or you are simply looking for something easy.Hardest part for me was the chopping of onion.Teary eyed.
There is not much variation in the recipe around.I had to adapt just a little with what i had in hand. This is the recipe,i based it on.
- Since Paprika is a star of the show,so i would advise to use Sweet Hungarian Paprika.Keep in mind that, paprika looses its taste as it gets old and it must must be air tight or ..I have experience, not good one..just saying.
- I hardly ever keep sour cream,so yogurt is a great and healthy substitute.
Hungry is small European country. It was a geography lesson for me.It is surrounded by 6 other countries Austria,Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia and Romania. We prayed for the people of this country as we were getting ready to enjoy the sumptuous meal from there.
