Goldfish Croutons
I call it fake goldfish.Yup,thats what they are but kids don’t care.I wasn’t planning on faking it but what do you do with tons of leftover sandwich bread? We hosted anniversary party for my in-laws and catered the food.BBQ precisely.Obivious choice in summer,in Texas. It came with tons of sandwich bread.More then what we can eat so we had tons of leftover. So what were my options?
- Toast and make bread crumbs.Use it for topping, breading, dressing etc.
- Make salad croutons.
- Make fun croutons which kids can eat as snack. My kids love crunchy, crispy snacks, more so if it made with carbs 🙂
Here is what i did.Mine love goldfish snacks,so i chose to cut using small fish and color it yellow using Turmeric spice.I had white sandwich bread but you can use bread of your choice.

- Turmeric(yellow color)
- Mediterranean spice mix
