Rainbow Brown Rice
Happy November everyone.Can you believe how quickly this year is slipping away?So are my days.It has been very busy past couple of days for us.Fun but busy.I have been crafting a lot these days.Some seasonal and some long pending projects.
I feel like i was hibernating in sweet slumber for a while and just woke up.So my kitchen table had been taken over by the craft supplies and looking at that pile,my desire to cook this past week had been all time low.
But i did took time and decided to fix the *healthy* dinner one day.My love for rice has not diminished a bit but i am making slow changes with it.During my last trip to Chipotle(I heart ‘chipotle’) where i order almost always pretty much the same thing,i noticed the rice they use.I have been dying to find out the kind of brown rice they use and you would think it would have been easier for me to ask them about it instead of me going to store and buying different kind of brown rice they have available and experiment with each one by one.I noticed the big sack of ‘Adolphus’ brown rice at Chipotle but have not found that in store,that i go to yet.
If you are hesitant in trying brown rice,you should try theirs.So during my last experiment,i used medium grain brown rice,different brand then the last one i had tried.I was excited to use the different veggies i had just gotten from the grocery trip that day,so i used most.Result was pretty looking brown rice.I served that with Chicken Tikka masala.No one complained.However,you can pretty much eat the rice by itself.
