Peanut Butter B & W Cookies

Peanut Butter B & W Cookies

Our Christmas break just started and i have been looking forward to get a stop on running around. So on the weekend before Christmas,i decided to get my baking  on.I have not been able to do much of that with busy schedules. I have never made cookies with peanut butter on it.We like peanut butter in our house but not crazy about it.Recipe came from the back of the Toll House Milk Chocolate Chips pack.Recipe was meant for the double peanut butter  and milk chocolate chip cookies.I didn’t had peanut butter chips,so i simply used white milk chocolate chips along with brown one.So now you  know how i named it 🙂 This cookie has a flavor of peanut butter but not overpowering .Its very sweet and i will totally try the recipe by cutting down the sugar by 1/4 cup. Sweet Potato Casserole

Sweet Potato Casserole

So what did you had for breakfast on the day after Thanksgiving? Hmmmmm…I will admit..sweet potato casserole. It was more of a late breakfast. My friend Jessica had me convinced that Ruth’s Chris sweet potato is to die for.I had never heard of Ruth Chris until then. And my friend Emily shared her mom’s sweet potato recipe, which is very similar to Ruth’s.Any surprise 🙂 So i was willing to give a try to this sweet potato casserole and am i glad that i tried or what? I have to admit,i cringed to see the amount of sugar and butter which has gone into making this dish.I checked around for lighter version...

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving …hmmmm..where do i start? It is an American tradition which i have grown to LOVE.For the lack of growing up with thanksgiving,i have advantage of making my own thanksgiving tradition, from what i hear, see and perceive unhinged !When i hear my American friend saying that my mom always made this dish for us on thanksgiving or this was my grandmother’s fav dish or i remember how fun it was growing up with thanksgiving or we did this or that..i think of Holi, Diwali ,Dusherra, some of the indian festivals that i grew up with. So this year,we started a “thankful” tree.I will admit that we were not able to keep up with adding leaves on daily basis but nonetheless we “Thanked”  everyday for the bountiful of blessing that God,our Father, has blessed us with.We talked to our children and i would want to say that our children understood it. Our pastor said,”Thankfulness comes after humility“.So our goal is to inculcate that in our children. We may or may not have more fuller ‘thankful’ tree in...
